The people we lose
Every gap in the data is a person. Our film won the first ISOQOL Statistics Special Interest Group Data Visualisation Challenge, at ISOQOL 2026 in Prague.

What the film shows
Studies lose patients between visits. The film follows burn survivors through two years of questionnaires, and shows that the people who stop answering are not a random group.
It then asks what happens to the result if the patients we lost were doing a little worse than the usual analysis assumes. A small shift is enough to change the answer.

Results patients can follow
Patients give their time to a trial, and they should be able to understand what it found. We work with patient groups and sponsors to turn COA results into graphics, plain-language summaries and short films.
