Taking a Graphical Approach
The Problem
The client was searching for supportive psychometric evidence in the case of a rare disease, but patient numbers were severely limited. Where over 100 patients would ideally be required for this type of trial, only 15 were available.
The Solution
We devised and enacted an analysis that was able to assess psychometric properties at the individual level. We then utilized informative graphs to show supportive trends and descriptives.
The Value
Using our work, the client was able to show regulators that the measure worked as expected. Our graphical approach told a clear story of the measure and how it could track change in the disease state.
